Refund Policy

Effective Date: January 24th, 2026

My Val is a one-time digital service. Your payment unlocks matchmaking and access to the Valentine reveal experience.

When Refunds Are Allowed

We only issue refunds in these cases:

  • Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same account/payment attempt.
  • Successful charge but verification failed: Paystack shows "successful" but our system cannot verify the transaction after investigation.
  • Technical failure on our side: You paid successfully, but you never receive matchmaking access due to a confirmed system error.

When Refunds Are Not Allowed

Refunds are not issued if:

  • You change your mind after payment
  • You entered incorrect profile details (e.g., preferences, city, gender choice)
  • You are unmatched because there are not enough compatible users in your area/preferences
  • A match was created for your account (even if reveal has not happened yet)
  • The reveal date has passed, or match details were revealed
  • You violated our terms (spam, harassment, fake info, etc.)

Refund Request Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of payment.

How to Request a Refund

Email: myval.help@gmail.com

Include:

  • Your account email
  • Paystack payment reference
  • Brief description of the issue

Processing Time

If approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Timing depends on your bank/payment provider (typically 5-10 business days).
